This is my 3rd summer with bee balm in my garden and our 1st summer with a hummingbird moth sighting!
I am beyond thrilled. It’s also emotional as these came from my late grandmothers garden and now planted in mine.

Wow! I love hummingbird moths! You are so lucky 🙂
My landlord won’t even let me put in native plants. We do still get lots of plain brown moths, underwing moths, and grass moths though which is pretty cool.

How lovely that you have bee balm that connects you with your late grandmother, and such a great video of the hummingbird moth! Your grandmother is no doubt smiling right now. ❤️

I saw my first hummingbird moth today! I’m in zone 5b. No great pictures, but I was surprised how big it was!

I didn’t even know these existed, super cool 🙂

  8. Ooh I haven’t seen one in a while. They love the bee balm! Enjoy!

  9. Does bee balm grow well from seed? It’s beautiful! Love the moth, too, I’ve only seen one once, but it was unforgettable.

Also in 6b and we saw our first hummingbird moth last week – nectaring on swamp milkweed. Such a treat!
